CWC 7th Annual Dinner 2015 at the PARK

There are some very special and memorable events during a year and the CWC Annual Dinner 2015 held on 30 Oct 2015 was without question an outstanding celebration of gourmet dining with perfectly paired wines. Probably no one else does such an event in Kolkata in its range and scope.
The Rosewood Banquet Hall of THE PARK was all set to welcome guests for the CWC Annual Dinner 2015 for the sit down table service of the 7 Course with paired wines dinner.
The staff of Park with their master chef Sharad Dewan in command and ably supported by Rohan Anand who coordinated the execution of the minutest detail demanded by us along with a 120 member team in the kitchen and in the banquet room surpassed all expectations and left everyone highly impressed by the class of the food, it's taste and even more the artistic and creative presentations that left an over lasting feel good impression.
Keith Edgar introduced the Bordeaux wines before each course. Malay Raut talked about the Grover Zampa Soiree, Sandeep Kang about the Cognac and Anil Vaswani introduced the award winning Barrique Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from Four Seasons. The wine sponsors for the evening were Parsan Brothers, Grover Zampa, Hennessy and Four Seasons. CWC gratefully acknowleges their involvement and support.

The 6th CWC Annual Dinner at the Oberoi Grand on 1 Nov 2014

The 6th CWC Annual Dinner set some new landmarks in setting a standard for a wine and dinner event by any Club in Kolkata. Held on 1 Nov 2014 at the majestic Ballroom of the Oberoi Grand, all dressed up for the occassion it had some interesting statistics that are worth noting.

-Wines from 5 countries
-6 wine companies participating
-80 staff
-450 wine glasses
-1050 pieces of table ware
-to make ONE historic evening.

CWC 5th Annual Dinner at the Park Hotel on 12 Nov 2013

The 5th CWC Annual Gala Dinner, exclusively for CWC members, was a superb presentation of the culinary delights that Park Hotel is well Known for. The event was a formal sit-down dinner at the Rosewood Banquet Hall.
The evening started with the Kolkata launch of Fratelli's Chenin Blanc 2013 and Fratelli Merlot were also launched the same evening by Fratelli Wines who were a sponsor of the event.
The 6 course dinner menu designed specially by Sharad Dewan, Area Director - Food Production, Park Hotel had many signature dishes for the Veg and Non-Veg members. Keith Edgar, Sommilier and a member of the Club did the wine pairing for each course.

CWC 4th Annual Gala Dinner at the Oberoi Grand on 12 Oct 2012

The 4th CWC Annual Gala Dinner was the most grand of the annual event till inception. Held in the Oberoi Grand's Main Banquet Hall, with special illumination and table set up, the whole ambience was that of a dinner was being held for the royalty.
With the personal involvement of George Kuruvilla, GM, Oberoi Grand, the event had class and attention to detail. A staff of 57 persons attended on 70 dinner guests.
The 7 course dinner paired with specially selected international wines left an unforgettable impression on the members.
To add colour and joy to the evening, Kolkata's legendary crooner from the 1970's Jenny Saigal provided live music that took the members to the good old days when Kolkata was known as the entertainment capital of India. Each and every member danced away late in the night after the superb dinner.

The 3rd Annual Dinner was held in the banquet room of the Hyatt Regency Hotel

The third Annual Dinner was held in the banquet room of the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Each year the size and range of the annual dinner expands. Starting with a Spanish Cava sparkling wine and a range of hors d’oeuvre including imported oysters at the specially decorated pool side, the sit down dinner in the banquet room consisted of a five course dinner with imported paired wines for to make a memorable evening for all members.

The 1st annual dinner was held at the Oh Calcutta restaurant in Silver Springs

CWC made the Annual Gala Dinner a signature event and highlight of its annual calendar. It is a multi-course sit down formal dinner with paired wines. The first annual dinner was held at the Oh Calcutta restaurant in Silver Springs when Bengali cuisine was paired with specially chosen wines.
